Welcome to Middle Cottage, a comfortable base for your holiday in the Yorkshire Dales with access to some of the most beautiful parts of Yorkshire as well as the spa town of Harrogate (32 miles), Historic York (48 miles) with its cobbled streets, City walls and the Minster. The cosmopolitan city of Leeds is only 50 miles, with its many designer shops, including Harvey Nichols, excellent restaurants, the home of the West Yorkshire Playhouse, Opera North and the Northern Ballet.
The sitting room is furnished with 2 comfortable settees. Solid Oak furniture enhances the period feel of the room. The dinning area comfortably seats 5. The ground floor of the cottage is quarry tiled with a range of loose rugs. There is an efficient multi fuel stove and the room is tastefully accessorised. This, together with the colour TV, DVD, digital freeview, Radio/CD/Cassette player and an excellent selection of local maps and guides, makes this room cosy and pleasant even if there is a wet day!
The kitchen is extremely well equipped with a dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, washing machine and dryer, microwave, electric oven & hob, food processor, electric whisk etc. There is an excellent selection of cream crockery, china mugs, baking and cookware. Cool bags and plastic boxes are available for outdoor picnics and walks. In fact there is almost everything you could think of to make your holiday comfortable and a real home from home.
The master bedroom is furnished in solid pine and contains a 5ft. double bed, a large double wardrobe, tall chest of drawers, blanket box and two bedside cabinets with lamps and a radio alarm. There is a fully fitted carpet and tasteful pictures & décor. A hairdryer is also available for your use. There are far reaching countryside views (over rooftops).
The second bedroom is furnished with a 4'6 double bed with bespoke solid pine double wardrobe and bedside cabinets. Once again this room has a fitted carpet and is decorated to a high standard with quality soft furnishings. There are wall lights over the bed and a view over the walled garden.
The full sized (3') bunk beds in the third bedroom are sturdy and solid, and comfortable for an adult to sleep on the bottom. This room contains a small wardrobe and chest of drawers; The soft furnishings are suitable for children of all ages and adults. Night light bulbs are available. In addition there is a wooden child's chair with extended legs for use at the dining table if required.
The house bathroom has a bath, pedestal wash hand basin, low level WC, separate electric power shower cubicle and heated towel rail. The water is heated by a timed immersion heater and there is a boost button in the unlikely event of your running out.
The newly refurbished terraced garden is located at the rear of the property; small children would need to be carefully supervised. The terraces contain a variety of shrubs and the garden is a warm and pleasant place to sit. There is a barbeque and a full set of garden furniture for those sunny days and balmy evenings!
